When my hair was long enough, I used to twist it up in a chopstick while it was still wet. It would be all curly after it dried and I took the chopstick out. :D

is your hair super duper thick?  usually because my hair is so thick and long whenever i try to tie it back with one thing like a chopstick or bobby pin it weighs down and falls out immediately…maybe im not doing it right LOL

but i’ve always done non traditional methods to make my hair curly or wavy because i dont like putting heat on my hair and because my hair is to thick it takes forever to dry after the shower and then takes forever to curl with a flat iron or curling iron and it doesnt like to hold a curl

i usually have to tie it in some way to make it wavy.  i’ve done curls with strips from paper bags and ive done curls with tying multiple buns on my head haha
